Friday June 20th, Erin Livingston is joined by Mark Asche on piano and Jim Chenoweth on upright bass.
Saturday June 21st, Erin Livingston will be joined by pianist Mark Asche and Gary Raynor on bass.
Erin Livingston is an established jazz, blues and r&b singer, teacher and clinician and cabaret artist in the Twin Cities. Erin is part of the vocal department at MacPhail Center for Music.
Pianist Mark Asche has performed with Kenny Loggins, Buzzy Linhart, The Gene Krupa Orchestra, Bob Berg, Bob Mintzer, Johnny Adams, Paul Wertico, Byron Stripling, The JazzMN Big Band, John Lee Hooker, Michael Tait, Mojo Buford, Viola Wills, Alberta Adams, Marvin Rainwater, Lynwood Slim, Jimmy Brown, and Big Jay McNeely. In 2021 he recorded and produced his instrumental album titled Revival.
Bassist Jim Chenoweth is a long time veteran of the Twin Cities music scene. He has performed with virtually every established jazz artist in the metro area. He is active in the scene featuring his arrangements and original compositions.
A Prairie Home Companion bassist Gary Raynor moved to the Twin Cities from New York in 1977. He has performed for both the Guthrie Theater and Chanhassen Dinner theaters, was the house Bassist for the Carlton Celebrity Room, and toured for three years as Sammy Davis Jr.’s bassist. Upon his return, he joined the New Ruperts Orchestra, and also performed at the major jazz clubs in the Twin Cities for local and national jazz headliners, including with the Count Basie Band. Gary has toured with Broadway musicals, such as The Lion King, Phantom, Beauty and the Beast, Miss Saigon,etc. In 2000, Gary joined the Guys All-Star Shoe Band, performing weekly on the nationally broadcast “A Prairie Home Companion.’
